Within The Burren, Clare, was another of Ireland’s famous Stone Age monuments: Poulnabrone Dolmen. This burial ground was built in 3500 BC. Burren means ‘rocky land’ in Gaelic - an apt name for this vast limestone plateau in northwest County Clare.
